That would be doing things double, wouldn't it? A character dies when
taking more than his or her Body in overflow damage, and if you add the
Body to the D6, high Body characters get an even greater advantage than
those with Body 1 or 2.

A comparision: Big Al the troll again, with a Body of 11, takes a Deadly
wound. So does a tiny little elf (Body 1) called Bill standing next to
him.
For Bill, the GM (i.e. me, I'm actually rolling dice now) gets a 6,
re-rolling it for a 3. Add the 1, and Bill has 10 minutes before taking 1
overflow box. The next roll is a 2, +1 makes 3. Bill dies after 13 minutes
unless somebody is giving him first aid.
Big All, though, gets his first overflow box after 3 +11 = 14 minutes, the
second after 15 minutes, and for the other ten boxes I get a total of 1 +
2 + 1 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 5 + 1 + 2 + (6+1) + 10 x 11 = 140 minutes. Adding the
first 29 minutes makes 169 (exactly the square of the time it took Bill to
die, BTW).
Granted, Big Al would have died after 2 hours (120 minutes) under standard
rules, but this is even longer...

Without adding the character's Body, Bill would die in 5 minutes, Big Al
in 37 -- 7.4 times as long, compared to 13 times if you add the Body, or
6 times with vanilla rules. Of course, if you roll better or worse, times
will vary quite a lot.
