Huh? Just another Hollywood shoot-out? Let's see, in the end - I guess
we're talking about from when Cosmo figures out that Carolyn is really with
Bishop - only three or four shots are fired. River Pheonix's character
sneaks up on the beligeriant Mafia man, and instead of killing the Mafia
guys that have been trying to kill them throughout the movie, Bishop and
crew simply knocks them out. Then in the final confrontation with the Main
Bad Guy, the Main Good Guy talks his way out, conning the Main Bad Guy into
thinking he'd won.

If his was just another Hollywood shoot-out, the final confrontation would
have been a gun battle to the death (probably with Cosmo being blown off
the roof of the building onto a dumpster full of pointy things). Bishop
would have emptied a clip into the "Bad Cop" Mafia guy. The toy factory
would have exploded into a huge fire ball as the good guy's van drove away.

So, the main characters didn't shoot a gun at all, and the only shots fired
in that part of the film were three or four shots from that shotgun.

Or were you talking about the scene with Mr. Abbot? The one where the
shadowrunners use negotiation skills to get out of the mess they got into?

Another Hollywood shoot-out? I think not.
