Pretty much..... That's only short range, though. If you're after
anything long range or with ECM/ECCM then it's going to weigh a fair bit
more than a microtransceiver.

Generally, long distance communications in SR can be handled from a
facility, or out-of game by the GM.... there wouldn't be much call for a
big radio. I'd also assume that satellite data feeds would be more
common than radios.

Bleach
