Your SIN (standing for Social Indentification Number, I think) is a
number which is roughly equivalent to your Social Security Number. Think
about the number of things that number can be used for now. Now assume
that the number of uses has increased nearly geometrically. The SIN is
used for all kinds of things: it can be used to track where you are, what
you do, and all kinds of things.
