It's in the sourcebooks Tir Tairngire, Tir na nOg, and Aztlan, the
adventures Harlequin and Harlequin's Back, and various novels (Worlds
Without End is a good example). Likely in some other books as well, but
these are the only ones I can think of right now.

They disguised themselves as humans, using the little mana there was in
the Fifth World, plus some sort of mana-cache they seem to have made in
the Fourth World. The details are somewhat scarce, though.
