I would say that, a magician would have to be present
for the spirit be _required_ to perform a service. That
means that yes, he could conceivably run a "Rent an
Elemental" service, but he would have to schedule that
with his running. This makes spirits a little more powerful,
like they could sustain other people's spells. It still binds
them to the mage that summoned them though. As I said,
the spirit isn't _required_ to perform the service however,
free-willed spirits, allies, or just a really friendly elemental
_could_ perform the service.
