Thats how I explain a bullet 'proof' vests, the vest holds, but the
Light damage is due to heavy bruising, moderate damage is because of
broken ribs, serious damage due to pierced lung etc.

Originally I used to use the rule as is but base teh test upon teh damage
which would have been done before soaking, ie if shot by 9M with 5
successes yet dodged with 2 successes, resist knockback based on Serious
damage.
Now I simply ask for a knock back test when it is dramatically appropriate
(not every time someone is shot) and 1 success is needed.
