Absolutely. I'm a big fan of "The Sandman" and "Hellblazer", myself.
(Does
anyone remember Matt Wagner's "Mage"?) Unfortunately, the good ones are
outnumbered by the X-Clones and "Big-Boobed Babes in Bras From Hell" comics,
and these are the ones that give the field its rep.

Yes. Exactly. I completely agree. <g>

I use the phrase "animated comic book" advisedly -- much of the visual style
was done by or adapted from Moebius, the guy who did so much work in Heavy
Metal. Maybe I shouldn't have put the sentence "sort of like watching an
animated comic book" right after the phrase "deeply silly", but I'll stick
by
both of them.

Anyway, glad you found a movie you liked.
