Pete uses something he calls "Overlanders" Remotely rigged or
robotically controlled "land trains", - Australians may have an idea of
the concept - only much bigger. (I think he stole it from Thunderbirds)
These things are mainly unmanned and travel the interior of the US from
city to city, occassionally with one or two man crew. We've used them
before to get from one place to another.

Unfortunately we're not in the US, so can't use this option either.

I can't help getting the distinct impression the horrible oik did this
deliberately to take our attention away from the plot, but the greed
factor is _so_ strong. :)
