<<No, but it hasn't actually presented itself as a need in my game. I
suppose stats would be something on the order of 9 or 10 S Stun damage,
Reach 2 (as noted), Weight 2 or 3, maybe 4, Concealability 2 (if you can
conceal a spear, you can conceal this:), Availability, say, 7 or 8
within
48 hours, maybe 3 days, and a street index of 2? (had to do some
comparisons with the AZ-150 and some tasers) Perhaps you could make it
collapsible, too. You might need an external battery pack, but I doubt
it. Here's a question: About how long do you think that battery life
would be on this thing?>>
I don;t see that much reason to make it different from a stun baton at
all; the 'warhead' doesn't really have to change (maybe re-engineered to
act more like a thrusting weapon than a 'swipe' weapon). Cost should be
about the same, since all you're doing is extending the handle; battery
length shouldn't change; in fact, with more room on the shaft, you could
toss in a few more 'D' cells.
I'm assuming, of course, that only one end is charged; if you went for
both ends, naturally, the cost would escalate suitably.
As for why they don't exist: Using clubs comes pretty naturally to most
people. Staves are another matter.
