If he lets the corp's razorboys get within a mile of him he isn't worthy of the
title 'Fixer'. Fixers see to it that stuff like that happens to other people,
they don't fall prey to it unless they're stupid or incompetent. They're minor
crime lords, and act the part.

As someone else said, theyu'd be unlikely to get reliable info from this, nor
are there that many 'witnesses' to question/bribe usually near the site (if
they were, it was a pretty lousy op in the first place). How many people today
ignore things because they don't want to 'get involved'? Also, getting away
depends more on stealth than anything. If the job was quiet, getting away is
easy, you walk away. If things went to hell (and we all know they go to hell a
lot of the time, if only to keep life exciting for the PCs) then planning ahead
still really helps their chances. Having magical support certainly helps,
especially considering that even serious magical staff for a corp has to be
spread rather thin (there just aren't many mages to go around). Nature spirits
to keep them busy, or elementals just to carry on the fight while you
retreat...
