Agreed. This is how our group usually goes about character creation.
Since SR Companion came out, I've allowed players to choose whenter to
use priority table or build points. Everytime it's been the build
points and I think that's because my players approach their characters
background first, and the point system is more tailored to this.

I'm again in agreement. Count myself and my group as Build Point
character creation advocates. :o)
