If you want 1 and 2, take away the Area modifier, and you've got your spell.
No mod for personal unless it only affects the caster. That's the way I've
always read it.
And I believe ShadowTech was written with 2nd Ed in mind, that's what I was
told when I asked Dowd about the unarmed damage codes for bone lacing, they
were already 2nd ed compatible.
