It should happen something like this:
Mana drops..The Dragons and other fanciful creatures start heading
back to wherever they were before Mana went up..Then magic gets
harder and harder to use until it is beyond the grasp of mere
mortals..As the Mana drops the UGE folks that are farther from Human
normal begin to sicken and die..and as the Mana continues its drop
more and more of the races do the same..until...Only humans and the
Imortals remain..as well an standard genetic deviations remain..
