Even if he deserves it, there are so many more psychologically
disturbing things to do to him.

On of the most horrifying things that ever happened to one of my
characters was the following:

My fellow runners and I were on a run in Seattle. After a run that
went bad, my character was captured. My fellow runners went off to
the hide out.

Scott, the GM, sat before me -with all the other players watching-
and started to interogate me.

Scott: 'Where are your friends you filthy swine!'
Vael: 'Frag you you two yen slot!'
Scott: 'Bwahahah! Beat on him Chuck!'
THWACK! BIFF! BANG!
Scott: <checks off some physical damage on Vael's sheet> 'Tell us
where they are!'
Fellow Runners: 'Don't tell him Vael!'
Vael: 'Again, frag off you infected slot!'
Scott: 'Bwahahahah! Cut his face Chuck!'
SLICE!
Vael: 'aaaaaaa.'
Scott: 'Vael, change your charisma from 5 to 4.'
Vael: 'What? Aren't I suppost to just be taking physical box damage?'
Scott: 'Bwahahah! Tell me were your friends are puny human!'
Fellow Runners: 'Don't tell his you bastard!'
Vael: 'uhhh... Frag off?'
Scott: 'Cut off his arms Chuck!'
Vael: 'Wait a minute!'
CHOP CHUNK! CHOP CHUNK!
Scott: 'Drop your stregth from 6 to 1.'
Fellow Runners: 'Don't you tell him or we will kill you!'
Scott: 'Were are they!'
Vael: <looks to his fellow team memebers who he is loyal to. Then
back to the GM> 'Uuuhhh.'
Scott: 'Chuck, cut his tendons apart!'
SLICE! SCLICE!
Scott: 'Drop you dextarity from 5 to 3'
Vael: 'Is this in the rule book? <crying as he pulls once again his
pencil to his character sheet>'
Scott: '<leaning close to Vael-whispering> If you tell us where your
friends are: we will fix you.'
FF's: 'DON"T DO IT!'
Vael: <whispering back:> 'You are going to kill me, if I don't tell
aren't you?'
Scott: <smile> <looks down to Vael's Chara sheet> 'Do you like 1's?'
FF's: 'DON"T TELL HIM YOU TRAITOR!'
Vael: 'They are in X location.'
Scott: 'Doctor Zee, fix him back the way he was. Chuck...get the
guns!'

Later as I talked to Scott, I asked him: Would you have killed me?
His answer: Yes.

There is nothing more morally testing then a character that you have
played for years, and the situation were to save your life you have
to rat on your friends. I'm telling you: You will act diffrently then
you think.

That character after that was always forced to take point, do the
shit work etc. but... you've just got to be there.
