If you've read all of the other posts and now understand how it works, I
apologize for beating a dead horse. If not, read on :)

Combat spells do not manifest on the physical plane. Combat spells
that are "physical" are resisted by the target's Body attribute. But
they aren't physical spells. A Fire Ball is a combat spell that has
the special effect of fire *added* on. The spell itself doesn't
manifest per se. A little extra energy is thrown in to create a
little bit of fire that can singe targets within the area of effect,
but the fire isn't what's doing the damage. It's the "combat spell"
energy that's "grounding" into the targets (that the mage can see,
and synchronize with) that's causing the damage.
