IMHO only if you can see the magician start casting the spell before it
actually goes off, and what'll happen is that tthe caster gets cover
modifiers to the spell's TN. When you can completely block LOS, the spell
fails to hit, but won't hit the person you're using as cover.
I'd only allow this if you've got a delayed action, and succeed at some or
another Reaction test.
