Considering combat spells, they activate/blowup/hurt( :P ) when they hit a
person's AURA. Unless you're parrying with something that doesn't have an
aura, it's gonna go off.

With regards toi manipulation spells in general, and damaging ones in
particular, they activate when they hit something, including whatever the
adpet is parrying with. All it'd achieve would be to get it to blow where
it was intercepted.
