Sam pulled out his Predator and shot Fred.

"You shot Fred!" Shamus screamed. "You idiot, the whole point of
this was to see who's better in a toe-to-toe fight."

"Hey, if I go toe-to-toe with Fred without my guns he'll kick my
ass," Sam answered. "I'm not stupid enough to take on a physical
adept in hand-to-hand combat."

Shamus reached out and took Sam's gun out of his hands. "There, now
it's a fair fight."

Sam crossed his arms and said smuggly, "You're to late, the fight's
over and I won. Pay up."

Fred's foot slammed into the back of Sam's head and sent Sam
sprawling to the ground, unconscious.

"Nooooo! Nonononono! No!" Shamus screamed. "This was supposed to
be a fair fight! You weren't supposed to attack him from behind."

"But," Fred said "if I didn't sneak up on him he'd shoot me again."

"He couldn't," Shamus replied "I took his gun away from him."

"Oh... But without his guns Sam wouldn't stand a chance." Fred said,
perplexed.

Shamus screamed obscenities as he stalked off down the street.

Sam, who had regained his senses, staggered to his feet.

"Sam, I don't feel so good," Fred said.

"That's cuz I shot you ya mook. Come on, let's get you to the street
Doc," Sam said. "And the next time we see Shamus stay out of my
way."

"Why?" Fred asked.

"Cuz I'm gonna shoot him," Sam replied with a wicked smile.
