Define decent rolling:
9S damage (average of the shotguns printed, using slug)
Armor jacket reduces that to 5S. You need 6 successes against a 5 to
reduce that to nothing, and that's just the base damage of the weapon.
Now, if the attacker had a few successes, you need to cancel those as well,
at a target number of 5 with your Combat Pool dice.

Now he gets a second shot, and you've spent most or all of your Combat
Pool, to survive {if you survived} even while wearing the heaviest
concealable armor available.
