IMO Intelligence is really intelligence in SR. So why do we use it as
perception ? Well, I think it's the way you explain what's happening around
you instead of what you see. I think it's considered you see and hear
everything necessary and your int roll is what you get from all these
informations.
But, intelligence doesn't prevent you from being dumb. If an ork does have
an intelligence of 5, that means he has a very good alertness and
(unconsciously ?) is very aware of what happens around him. But that
doesn't make him clever...
