Here is how I would breakdown MIJI affect for magic ...

Meaconing ................. This is basically astral combat pure and simple.

Intrusion ...................... This is a tactic that could be used by one
mage on another to either simulate incoming magical attacks to incoming
spirits, or even other mages ... base target number is the intelligence of the
opposing mage and any modifiers the GM deems appropriate.

Jamming ................... Jamming is something that would work wonders
against any spell that is astrally targeted (which would also affect centering
target numbers also) ... in this case, the mage rolls their Masking, with a
target number equal to the Intelligence of the opposing mage ... every success
is an additional +1 to the target number for the opposing mage ... this is
also a complex action, and works best when performed as part of a delayed
action.

Interference ................ This is where one mage directly opposes another
mage's attempts at either spellcasting or spirit summoning ...

For spellcasting, the opposing mage rolls dice from his/her magic pool
with the same target number as the the casting mage, every success that they
get reduces the number of successes of the other mage ... the opposing mage
also resists drain as if they had also cast the same spell. If the mage also
has the same spell, then they can also add dice equal to it's force also, in
this case, the opposing mage resists drain based on whose spell is of higher
force.
