She's dual-natured because one of the DOWN sides of her totem the Nagual
is that she always perceives astrally. She's not a shapeshifter, though,
unless "mounted" by her totem. Technically, the totem is a real funky
cross between a shamanic totem and a voudoun loa. And yes, I agree, it's
pretty bizarre.
