A nifty notion, with the problem being, (solar) radiation on a space
station is very similar to that in any underground bunker, AFAIK.
Cosmic rays CAN be shielded, but usually are not, and could be a source
of trouble. IIRC, cosmic rays are just very high energy free
electrons. That type of radiation could be produced on earth, or could
have an "astral equivalnt" that produces fovae and other phenomina.
Electrons are mostly responsible for elctromagnetism, electricity,
chemestry, and many quantum phenomina (including, in some theroies, a
quantum root for conciousness and cellular "life")- I could see them
playing a large role in magical "physics", as well.
