They didn't give HIM jack or squat. They spent karma on bonding a
FOCUS, not giving it to any pesron. Maybe you reduced the cost, maybe
you made the focus. Either way, they couldn't actully spend more karma
than it took to bond the focus, and I don't see how any of it ended up
with you. Thars lke saying you could charge them extra karma for
teaching a spell or skill, and "pocket" the differnece. Ain't gonna
happen.

YMMV. I think I'll go ground some hellblasts through percieving mages
now...

And somebody was REALLY gullable, and the rules apparently had some
enhanced articulation. :)
