Don't laugh. I'm currently in the process of designing a "Shadowdance"
spell that would allow a character to turn insubstantial and partly
invisible (prolly something like +1 to perception per 2 succ). The
trick? I'm thinking the power only works in, you guessed it, at least
partial darkness. Otherwise, it would be too powerful. And of course,
the person under the influence of the spell would be detectable by other
means: astral, prolly thermo. The drain code would probably be pretty
ugly, even with mods like "touch required" and personal spell, though,
considering it would be a pretty handy spell for a firefight. After all,
I think it would fall under a physical transformation manipulation,
since the body would be physically partly phased out.
The TN would have to be higher as well for anyone who tries the spell
with cyberware. Otherwise, the minute you go ghostie, your teammates
have to pick your smartlink up off the pavement. :P
