M+2 doesn't LOOK like a 1st ed drain code :) ... I'd say its the
same as "turn to goo", with higher drian for effects, whatever that
would mean (it changes gear, allows movement,and won't kill you as
easily) and lower drain for range. Our grimoire 1 is in the
anti-corosive timevault, so I can't check it until the timelock opens in
2011.
S+2 may have been a calculated drain we had, but we jumped it to
(f/2)+2D because it is a POWERFUL spell with enough uses to count for
"bonus effect". Its a FAVE for ritual sorcery on your captured
teammates, for example. Its also just to easy and convienient if put in
a spell lock.
BTW, I might have noted- astral perception is the ONLY sense that
functions while you are under the effect of this mist form spell.
