Dude, SICK!

Um... no. Now, this really goes back to the whole FAB thing from about
two(?!) years ago... What you need to realize is that it takes an active
astral presence (a dual-natured aura or a wholly astral aura) to damage
an active astral presence. A passive astral presence (a mundane, for
instance) *cannot* directly affect the astral plane. Furthermore, a
passive astral presence cannot inflict damage upon an active astral
presence - Auras don't have mass and can't intersect. So, what happens?
The chunk of meat flies on unhindered and Bob the astral presence gets
pushed out of the way. If Bob happens to be a dual presence (a perceiving
mage, for instance), you deal with it as a purely physical interaction.
Why? Well, let's say I punch you in the gut. What happens? Well, unless
you're a trog, you feel (some) pain. Why? Did my aura intersect yours and
cause some sort of painful reaction? No. Auras can't intersect and I
would also be severe pain if they had. What happened is *I* (my physical
body) hit *you* (your physical body).

Furthermore, that chunk of meat *isn't* dual-natured, even if you are.
It's no longer part of you. It might have an aura, so long as the cells
that it is made up of are still alive, but when was the last time you
heard of a piece of steak with an active astral presence?

Final note: if your GM said 'no', that generally means 'no'. Let it lie.
It won't kill you:)

>Oh yeah, I forgot, I took pain resistance as a merit too, so the pain
>from the scoop wouldn't slow me down!

Oi! <slaps forehead>
Call it curiosity, but...
How old are you, Demosthenes?
