Sorry, I've been a bit cranky over a lot of silly posts recently. On
a practical side I should have pointed out that such a sword would set
off every sprinkler system it came across. In other words, flaming swords
aren't very practical on shadowruns.

An abstraction of such a sword could be made simply by stacking
foci. Trying to get anything closer just adds more drawbacks then its
worth. I wouldn't agree that anything can be directly ported over. Magic
items just don't work that way in Shadowrun.
