Actually, Magic Theory does help a LOT, especially if the group is in the
middle of a "flight" situation, where they are pulling out and they need to
rework whatever the hell it is they just encountered.
Opposable Force Magic leaves traces of it's "aura" (it's astral fingerprint in
this case) behind on those that have been influenced or "tainted" by it.
Assensing that can uncover ideas and opposable forces to the oppositions'
forces. It's an unspoken rule of magical practice, encounter in the field
experience is WAY beyond anything in the lab.
Hence, the "Mother of Necessities" concept.
