process of making is building in additional drain which will happen
irregardless of how the normal drain for the spell is dealt with. And this
extra damage is dealt with when the spell is done being sustained, or as soon
as the spell is cast for Instantaneous spells.
An example, a mage casts a spell with a drain of S ... he has built in
addtional 'drain' of a serious stun wound. He blows the drain on the spell,
putting him at S stun. But then the spell is done and over with and he takes
an additional Serious stun, knocking him out and also taking the guy to a
Moderate Physical Wound level also.
Getting back now. The end reason for building in either additional stun or
physical wounds is to help in lowering the drain code of a spell. It could
not be done for spells which do L drain. And the additional drain can be no
higher than Serious or the Drain Level of the spell to begin with.
So, here is my take on how this would work out ...
Power Modifier .................. Level
Modifier
Stun Damage
Light ................................. -1
...................................... -0-
Moderate .......................... -2 ......................................
-0-
Serious ............................. -3
...................................... -0-
Physical Wounds
Light ................................. -1
..................................... -1
Moderate ........................... -2 ....................................
-2
Serious .............................. -3 ....................................
-3
What do you guys think of it?
