I always had (and still have) trouble picturing why they're
actually _there_ on a shadowrun... Shadowbeat doesn't help
there either, because although it gives more background to the
archetype it doesn't explain why they'd go on shadowruns. They
can make just as much money and with much less risk by making
albums, and really don't need the "hands on" type of approach to
making the world a safer place, IMHO.

The best way to play a rocker would, I think, be as one of the
alternative campaigns FASA's been pushing since the Companion
came out -- a few (or all) of the PCs as rockers, a few as
bodyguards, and play out their adventures, which don't really
involve shadowruns.
