Unless of course they suck. Or just aren't especially good. I know a number of
starving musicians, you know... Other reasons are, they might be nuts, or need
"the experience" for their music.
Heck, I once made up (though I never got to play) Wild Oscar, an Ork
playwright (specialty: black comedies). Had followers (the avante guard
community) and some cyberware. He wasn't a big combat monster, in case you
couldn't tell.
That said, *I* don't really see the point of them either. Never tempted to
play one, nor has anyone I know been. Then again, maybe it's bcause of the
illustration by the archetype... They could be fun in a less combat-intensive
campaign (like for example the my current "ShadowZone" game).
