some opinions from all you people...
My character is a Street Sam. I was in the Needle with a mage buddy
when we were called out by a couple chummers. One look and I could
tell they were Physical Adepts. I got sick of their posing, so I blew
one of them away with my panther assault cannon. I had a permit for
it, so they had to let me in with it. The other attacked me, but
bounced off my heavy security armor. I blew him away too. Physical
Adepts are just so weak compared to street sams. Don't you think so?
Then my GM threw me for a loop. He said they regenerated. Apparently
they were shapeshifters too. I blew them away, but they regenerated
again. I turned them into Chunky Salsa, but they kept regenerating.
My mage buddy took a look astrally and said thay they were Woodchuck
Shapeshifters. (What's a woodchuck?) He noticed a few Quickened
spells, so he grounded a Hellblast through one. No good, they
regenerated.
The whole situation was so funny, I started laughing. I think
shapeshifters are so weak. They hardly had any stats or skills at 6,
they were pathetic compared to even the normal archetypes. Doesn't
everyone have a half dozen stats or skills at 6?
Then the GM threw me for another loop. They started casting spells.
Apparently they were physical mages. They had most of their points in
physical adept abilities, so all of their spells caused physical drain
(which they regenerated).
Finally my mage buddy cast a Transform spell on them, it's a
non-resisted spell that turns people into normal critters with a
single success (see the Grimoire). He turned them into platypi (or is
it platypusses?). Then he sold them to an organlegger (I think his
name was Tan Mouse, anyone ever heard of him?) as an infinite supply
of organs.
My question is... How much is a physical mage woodchuck shapeshifter
worth to an organlegger?
