Following the cannon rules given for Removing Cyberware, no he doesn't
get the point of essence back.
He does however have an "open slot" of one essence point. This means
he can get up to 1.0 essence worth of other cyber installed before he
starts to loose essence again.
Of course, nothing says we have to follow the cannon rules to a T.
