.....Magical illusions work just fine for the actors in simsense,
but magic itself does not record [for a mage kinked for simsense]
worth a hoot. Astral elements simply don't show up in an ASIST
recording. A sim of a magician casting a spell may have some pretty
neat sensations to it, but will not teach anyone how to go about
casting a spell. It's the same problem that keeps popping up every
time someone tries to make a skillsoft for magic. As far as ASIST is
concerned, there ain't nothing going on.
Sims involving magical plotlines always use special effects for
astral sequences, because astral perception just don't show on the
recording.
