Okay, after doing some more reading, and going through Shadowtech (barbi,
could you get the page you read that on btw, thanks) and Shadowbeat.
Shadowbeat had more information, as it has a complete chapter on simsense and
the like. It states that from someone else's POV (not the mage) astral
effects do not show up on the recording. However, there is nothing stated
about what happens if the recording is from the mage's POV (which means they
would have either a implanted simrig or a pretty powerful sim-recorder on
their head.

Until I see the page Barbi is referring to I am going to continue to 'presume'
that it is possible. Then again, considering that I am the principal GM for
the moment, I can be allowed some room for error as I do not have a
photographic memory and there are some 20 or so sourcebooks of information to
dredge information out of.
