Oh, so true. don't let the rest of the characters, or yourself, the
GM, say 'you can't do that, because that isn't the way Magic works.
Heh, Magic is left, relativiely, undefined, from a roleplaying pint of
view. That is why shaman's and mages argue it so much.

Mage - 'No, you are channeling the mana-energies from the Astral
Plane. You don't even NEED your Totem!'

Shaman- 'Heh. Try telling that to Cat. If you can convince Her, then
you got my vote.'

FASA may have put a way of deining how to resolve the use of magic, in
game terms, but don't let that limit you. To me, mages are allowed to
do magic because of the way *they* see it being done. They *believe*
that magic is an Art, where you suck the juice from the Astral, and
throw that JuJu around in the physical, all while avoiding
reprecussions for un equaling the Balance of the Universe (Drain.)
Shamans can do Magic because they *believe* that their Totem empowers
their song to do magnificant things. Why should that limit the often
forgoten psionic or religeous 'laying-of-hands'-er? The Psionic too
*believes* that magic is Art, but it has nothing to do with the Astral
planes, or Mana. It's all in the mind. Literally with the psionic :)

My 0.02¥....no, wait, this would be around 0.06¥...plus tax, that
would average out to....say, where is the mail list server located,
and what are tax rates there?
