Look for some of my posts on the Magic/Nuclear Energy similarities.

In short I have a theory that mana is fundamentally identical to radiation.
They behave in similar manners, although each has different forms.
They also seem to oppose each other to a degree in Shadowrun, which
corresponds nicely to the whole magic/vs. technology themes running
throughout the game.
