Actually no, it's not. In fact, there are notes throughout many FASA products
that give the impression that images stored on media can retain fragments of
their "astral natures". For instances, the recording the one mundane did of
the the Merlin Hawks doing their ritual flight thing (Paranormal Animals Guide
to Europe). Another is found within the story of the girl who's being
approached by the Black Lodge who looks at an Encyclopedia's image of a
church, and can "feel" some of the power even that far, that reproduced.

Sure, these are all stories and personal perceptions of fictional characters
within the game. But they are not alone, and they will likely have similar
"repeat performances" within the SR Universe. Oh no, I have a feeling we are
not nearly so far away from "simsensual recordings" as everyone would like to
think/feel/believe/fear.

Instance?

Magician (PC) Mind Links to an Otaku operative who is using the "Living
Personae's" ability to "log activities" he (his own mind) is viewing, just
as
a cyberdeck log's it's actions, with a slight program (aka; form), the bridge
is going to be gapped.

The real question, IMO, is will it happen in *YOUR* game ("your" being an
expletive statement, not point towards any singular/unique person).
