I think it is in the Shadowrun 2 book, in the discussion about gangs that
the terms has it's origin. (I apologize if the citation is incorrect, I'm
at work and can't check it.) Anyways, the discussion is about the differnt
types of gang members, such as "warriors". One of the groups refered to is
"breeders" who are generally attractive people with no real fighting
ability whose primary person is to provide recreational opportunities to
current gang members and children who become the next generation of gang
member. There is very definately a hard edge to the term (i.e."only a
breeder") as such people are generally considerd to be easily replaced.
