There appear to be a couple hot spots on the list. Here's some advice from
GridSec.

If you feel are the target of flames do not respond in kind. Do not waste
list's bandwidth.

If you witness a flame do not participate.

Flames have no place on ShadowRN.

If you feel that you have been flamed I suggest emailing the flamer
privately, and asking them if it was their intention to flame you. If
your suspicions are confirmed, adjust your filters so that you never
have to read a message from that person ever again. If your mailer
can't filter, use the delete key.

Trust the list admins to deal with any malicious flamers. If it appears
that a malicious flamer is not being delt with (unsubscribed) contact the
list admins and politely ask them to look into the manner.

And finally, please note that if you respond to a flame in kind you
will be identified by the list admins as a flamer, and you may soon
find yourself unsubscribed from the list.

Thank you.

Have fun,
Play nice,
-David Buehrer, your friendly neighborhood GridSec Assistant

These messages were posted a long time ago on a mailing list far, far away. The copyright to their contents probably lies with the original authors of the individual messages, but since they were published in an electronic forum that anyone could subscribe to, and the logs were available to subscribers and most likely non-subscribers as well, it's felt that re-publishing them here is a kind of public service.
