:1) Karma Pool. Is there a point where a PC gets too big a
:pool to handle? I.E. they're always succeeding at tasks
:that should be reasonably tough (TN 9-12). If so, how do
:you deal with it?

We just stopped playing and switched to Earthdawn. Seriously, though,
thew problem wasn't thier abilty to succede at 1 really hard task (and
thence runn out thier pool)- it was the fact that they NEVER failed
against ordinary tests (like taking damage from heavy pistols...)

:2) Karma Pool Again. Do you follow the rule that meta-
:humans gain karma pool at half the rate as humans? If so,
:do they start out with 2 karma pool, as in 2nd Ed.?

We would use the SR3 rule as written. I think it would make Humans a
LOT more common (we played "more metas"- and boy, there were MORE metas)

:3) More Pooling Around. Do you even use the pool? I
:know one group (probably more) that don't; instead they
:burn good karma to do the same things as the pool would.

We always used it, but used the "progressive" costs listed in SR3.

:4) Just Plain Karma. How much do you typically give
:out for runs that you make up (I recently bought Eye-
:Witness and Double Exposure. The karma awards are
:way out of line with what the GM section says you
:should get)?

It seemed like maybe 2-3 a gaming sesion was the average. Per
advanture- well, maybe we played slow- adventures often took 5 seesions.
So 10-15 a "run" was not uncommon, though those tended to me NASTY runs,
with complications, major opponants, and long lasting (dangerous)
repercusions.

:5) Karma Fer Sale. Do you use the Cash for Karma
:rule, and vice versa? If so, what do you use as the cost?
:The "upscale campaign" example the SRC uses is kinda
:crazy...1 point for 1000 nuyen...

Never used it, but I don't think that's to outrageous. I would not
normally trade a Karma Point for 1000 nuyen. I certainly wouldn't suggest
letting characters BUY karma for less than that!

:6) Mmm....foooood..... What should I have for dinner
:tonight? I was thinking of a Stroganoff type meal, with
:broccoli, but I'm quite a bad cook.

Those fozen vegatable packs with sauces work very nicely- I like the
seczhuan stirfry. Just add meat!

:7) Ghouls. A while back, I posted a bunch of questions
:about ghouls. One was never really answered, and maybe
:someone with T:UCAS could help me out. What happens
:with a ghoul PC and cyberware? What's the deal?

Genrally, the cybeware remains in the body, though the Ghoul may not
be able to use it if un intellegent. Sometimes the cyber, if its
sensative equipment, will break (but can be repaired). Things like demal
plating, bone lacing, muscle replcement, and so on, would work just fine.
All the cyberware might be considered "used" and suffer those effects.
Characters becoming Ghouls loose a point of essence, which might be kill
them if they had a lot of cyber.
Bioware will not function in the ghoul body- I believe it is converted
by the virus, so the new ghoul would have a BI of zero, and NO bioware.
This will be detailed in the new Shadowrun Comapnion.

:9) Dice. How many dice do you usually take to a gaming
:session? And do you take those multi-sided AD&D dice,
:even though you know you won't need them?

I usually brought about 36 12mm 6 sided dice, in a cigarette hardpack.
12 of the dice are green, and are mu combat pool- thye are set asside once
used, and go back on the table once the CP refreshes. I also had 17
orange dice, for reaction tests...
The Polyhedral dice stay in my Earthdawn gamepack.

:And now, the tenth question on our poll...
:
:10) If you were covered in bugs, what kind of vegetable
:would you be?

The sort that gibbers in the corner, drooling, and is soon coverted
into a "good merge".
