Well, umm, we still have people in todays world that refuse to believe
various things, for example, I know personally someone that thinks the
whole moonwalk thing was staged on a soundstage somewhere in the Dakota
badlands; there are people that think the Holocaust never happened; some
folks even still think the world is flat.

What all this means, is that if magic couldn't be reproduced in simsense,
many people would use this as an excuse to believe magic doesn't exist.
