And so it came to happen that Dave Post wrote in reply to My humble self:

But the percentage is kind of very low you must admit, nearly uncounterable
compared to the knowing 'mass' of population, don't you agree?
For example many here in germany have the good old joke (by know it must
have turned into a joke) that some of the more outlanderisher folks in the
U.S. are still wondering wether the WWII is over or not and are the damn
Krauts still suffering for their ill. So those 'unenlightend' are not a good
point to count every american over as not interested in europe actions. Hope
this example offers help for understaning my point rather than making it
sound stupid ;o).

Yes I agree to a certain point, that if it can't be made shown that it
exists than it can not be. But than I offe the friendly advise that there is
a Zoo in many a town, there those can go and take a peek at the critters the
awakened age has brought us. A this reminds me of one ofthose good old "BEAR
HAS ESCAPED FROM LOCAL ZOO!!!" headlines we occasional have in the
newspaper, could you imagine how folks would react in Texas (CAS now, I
know) when a giant armadillo is somehow "lost" in the Zoo?
Anyway, my point is that even if there is a small percentage of
magicnonbelievers out there there part of the population can be considered
real small. But there surely are many (just the number, not the percentage
of the total population) who do not believe in magic so if you want to have
this old man ramble about tricksters and such, do it, nature has space for
every beeing.
The main argument that people would use the lack of possibility to reproduce
magic on simsense as an argument to not believe in magic is IMO realy not
worth many. Although a clear picture of a bavarian with Lederhosen and hat
springs into my mind stating "No magic kan be dere as I can't feel dem
wizards make de mojo. Gimme now some Weizzenbeer, aber plötzlich!".
Grin, no offense to our small bavarian percentage meant here.
