:equipment and software. I personally have two cd-roms that are direct
:copies of the originals, made with a cd writer using a direct copy
:method. Having the source code would allow for tweaking but isn't IMO
:necessary for a simple copy. Of course there still may be a problem
:if the original chip includes anti-tamper/anti-copy measures.
In SR so far, you can't make copy's of (certain kinds of) chips
without the source-code. There are certain analogues today- it is (as far
as I know) much easier to duplicate a neural net given its description
than given a "black box" status of neural net input / output. Holographic
processes also are much easier to reproduce given the original setup info.
Given that Skillsofts appear to (perhaps) be holographic memory
representations operated on a neural net...
