Before I start, I'll just introduce my self, My name is Nathan, I am 20 and
live in Nottingham (England). I play shadowrun (dolt) Earthdawn (why did
FASA kill it, BAD FASA) and Rolemaster (no chartmaster jokes please). I
LARP and Reenact (10-14 Century England/Normandy).

Making chain is dead simple, all you will need is a pair of pliers (what
sort depends on size of ring). And a lot of split washers (8mm are good)
(also called square edged washers). Link them together in a chain, add an
extra link to every other ring in the chain (one, two, one two), then make
several such chains.then the trick is to link the odd links to each other,
through the double links. It sounds complex, and to be honest the first few
strips are a bugger, try to find a example section, or a member of the SCA
(I think that is the big American group, apologies if you live elsewhere).

A simpler form is called 'Arabic mail', and consists of large links (say
12mm) linked on all four sides (by 6mm links) to make a tessellating circle
pattern. It's lots simpler, quicker, but has big (ish) holes in it.

Anyway chain dice bags do work (I use one), and I'll shut up now.

"The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armor to
lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the
fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into
it in the first place."----------------------- Quote from Douglas Adams
