Well, okay, I'm going to say names now just so as to NOT get confused.

Enter Dr. Halbersteim and his "kids" project, trying to figure something out
and Halbersteim gets downwind of the "truth" in the ARC. The "Dark
City"
concept would be really good if "the good doctor" (as the Stranger's refer to
Sutherlands character in the movie) was Halbersteim, who for whatever reason
got snagged by Deus.

Damn, this could be good.

Concept: Party is hired to go into the ARC and get out "X". Once inside,
they get overwhelmed by Deus' minions (it could happen to anyone). BUT,
instead of killing the group or "merging" them, Deus decides to add them to
his collective "Dark City" construct system he's got running. He's trying to
unlock the secrets of "the Human Soul" and possibly a way for he/himself/it to
get unstuck for the SCYRE.

The GM has collected the generic attributes of the party, and reconstructs
them ahead of time to fit "their new personalities". Instead of people waking
up in some cell or whatever, simply describe the situation the same way it
started in the movie. With "this is how you wake up", "this is what you
remember", "this is how things go".

As time goes on, the group begins to piecemeal things together for some
reason. IF one of the character's is a decker (or an otaku), then they get to
be "John", the guy with the "Tuning" ability that begins to develop
(the
Resonance starting to manifest stronger/fully in the subject within the Host).

Deus wants "the Resonance" to be merged with his own collective personality in
order to strengthen, augment his banded and himself, thus they want this guy
trapped.

Hell, this has potential...
