Okay... Who's putting down Deckers? All I have to say is that in my
campaigns people practically fight over being a Decker, because I put a
great deal of time and effort into making Decking a vital part of any run
into the shadows.

I've had Deckers reroute communications, open locked security doors, freeze
security cameras, and play video games all in the same day! Not including
the drek-load of stuff that they've done before. Cyberdecks aren't only a
weapon, they are a fun thing. While everyone else is playing with their
ammo, a Decker can be blasting away at alien invaders in full-3d! Plus,
some runs couldn't be even finished successfully unless a Decker was there.

With a world as technologically advanced such as the one in Shadowrun, I
can't comprehend how anyone can say someone of this type is useless. The
only way for a such a thing to happen, is if the GM doesn't implement uses
for the Decker. The GM should make ever character feel as if he/she has a
part in the game. If anyone feels useless, it's because the GM is not doing
his/her job, or the player doesn't understand the abilties of his character
well.
