] There is another reason: for the samurai who uses bows AND guns,
depending on
] circumstances.
]
] Think about it: the Smartlink implantincludes _one_ induction pad. This is
] usually in your "strong" hand. A bow is normally fired with your
"_weak_"
] hand. That means, to use a smartlink on a bow accessory mount, you must
] either resort to a Smart Goddle affair, _or_ get a second, off-hand
smartlink.
]
] Since some of the smartlink is the neurological implant designed to
insert the
] gun data into your field of vies (those indicator dots, etc), has anyone
] considered an essence discount for anyone implanting a second smartlink?
Say,
] up the "grade" of the implant by one step (i.e. a second smartlink, if
normal
] grade, would have essence calculated based on Alphaware versions, etc)?
] Though the price might double, after all quality/grade considerations. :-)
Where does it say that a smartlink only has an induction pad
in one palm? I've always played as if it's a pad in each. Not
that I'm saying that's sensible, but I'm curious to know where
the law was laid down.
